About Teacher Julie
I've spent over a decade doing one thing: helping kids find their voice in English.
With a Bachelor's degree in Education and more than 10 years of teaching experience, I've worked with over 6,500 students and taught nearly 20,000 lessons to children and teens from China, Korea, Japan, the UAE, and the United States. Every single one of those lessons taught me something too.
Parents tell me their children actually look forward to our lessons. That I'm patient. That I make learning feel easy instead of stressful. That means everything to me, because a child who enjoys learning learns faster.
My lessons are built on the Abridge Academy curriculum and taught through FunClass, a virtual classroom designed specifically for kids with games, flashcards, drawing tools, and real-time speaking activities that keep students engaged from the first minute to the last.
Whether your child is saying their first English words or already holds a conversation, I'll meet them exactly where they are and build from there.
25-minute lessons. Real progress. A teacher who actually cares.

Bio
My Teaching Style
Teaching is more than my profession — it’s my passion. I truly enjoy getting to know each student and helping them grow through lessons tailored to their age, level, and interests. I take pride in creating a positive, encouraging space where students feel comfortable speaking and learning at their own pace.
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy woodworking, designing t-shirts, and spending time with my husband and our cats. You’ll often spot a few fun props or silly characters popping into lessons to help make learning even more fun!
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Education
Aug 2009 - May 2013
I received my degree in Elementary Education from Morehead State University, where I gained hands-on teaching experience and a strong foundation in child development, curriculum planning, and classroom management. My training prepared me to work with students of all ages and learning styles, and I’ve continued building on that experience through years of teaching — especially in the online classroom.
TESOL Certificate – 120 Hours
I also hold a 120-hour TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certification, which has further equipped me with the tools to support English language learners in developing their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
